Description
10mm End Feed 45° Elbow
First of all our 10mm End Feed 45° Elbow is a simple cost-effective way to join copper tubes together. Furthermore, they are suitable for use above ground and on either hot or cold domestic systems. Finally, all Endfeed fittings WRAS approved and be assembled using hard and soft solders.
What are end feed fittings?
On the whole, End feed fittings are a simple and cost-effective way to join pipework. Specifically, that is made of copper in plumbing systems. Consequently, End feed fittings are fully recyclable, however, they will require soldering.
How to fit end feed fittings?
- First, cut the tube square using a rotary tube cutter wherever possible. If a hacksaw is used to cut the tube, a fine-toothed blade should be used.
- Second, remove any burrs from the inside and outside of the tube ends. Also, give tubes a thorough clean.
- Thirdly, Using a suitable brush, apply adequate but not excessive flux to both the outside of the tube. Also, the inside of the fitting socket. However, do not use your finger. This stage can be skipped if using a fluxed solder.
- The fourth, step is to apply solder to the mouth of the fitting. Subsequently, when the correct temperature has been reached the solder will flow freely and be drawn into the joint. Briefly reapply the blowtorch and wipe off any excess solder.
- Finally, Allow the joint to cool without disturbance. Accordingly, clean the joint generally, wiping off any external flux residues. On the whole, this will prevent unsightly stains or corrosion of pipework. Finally, flush out the pipework.
