Barrettine Wood Protector 5L
First of all this Barrettine Wood Protector 5L is a wood sealer for rough, sawn or smooth timber. Furthermore, it contains water repellent resins and a biocide film wood preserver. Evidently, this is to prevent the surface growth of mould/algae. Also together this helps reduce decay, swelling, twisting of wood. Equally important, the pigments have good UV fade resistance and will help protect the wood from UV damage.
To illustrate Barrettine’s wood protector is specifically an ideal treatment for all outdoor treated timber. Namely, structures such as sheds, fences, trellis, pergola and timber gazeboes. Additionally, as a wood sealer, it provides excellent water repellency/beading. To summarize the oil / Spirit-based for deeper penetration leaving a transparent/translucent finish colour effect to wood. Yet where the grain texture is still visible. SPRAY APPLICATION:
Barrettine can be applied in many ways. For instance, sprayed with a traditional pump-action garden-style sprayer with Viton seals. Furthermore, the protective treatment can also be sprayed using an airless sprayer. However, the sprayer must be thoroughly cleaned after application with white spirit. Additionally should then be oiled to protect the tip and moving parts.
To conclude, the colour swatches are an indication only and representative of the product applied to clean new/pale timber. Furthermore, the final colour finish can vary considerably due to the age, type & condition of the timber being treated. nevertheless, it is always recommended to carry out a test area first. Of course, in an inconspicuous area to ensure satisfaction the final dried colour.
